Saturnia Hot Springs Health Benefits

The thermal waters are known for their extraordinary healing properties, which have made them a popular destination for those looking to relax and rejuvenate.

The waters are very beneficial for relieving skin conditions, muscle pain, joint stiffness and arthritis. The mineral-rich springs also offer great benefits to the respiratory system and can help with problems such as asthma and allergies.

The Saturnia Hot Springs are open all year round. The spring/summertime is a great time to visit the springs as you can also enjoy the good weather, and it won’t be too cold when you get out of the springs.

During these times though, the Hot Springs can be extremely busy, so if you would prefer the springs to be quiet, it may be better to visit in the off-season, or visit very early in the morning or late at night.

What should I pack if I plan on visiting the Saturnia Hot Springs?

You will need swimwear when you visit the Hot Springs, as well as a towel and maybe a robe to wear when you get out of the pools, as the air can feel cold when you get out of the water, especially if you visit outside of summer.

If you are visiting in summer, you may also want to bring sunglasses, sun cream and a sun hat.

There is food available on site but if you don’t want to buy food, then it may be a good idea to bring some snacks and some water.

And obviously, you will need a camera, for all of the photos you will definitely want to take of this beautiful location!

TIP – We recommend taking water shoes if you have them, as the limestone pools can get a little slippery and there can also be some small pebbles and stones on the floor of the pools.

The Saturnia Hot Springs are truly an unforgettable experience in Italy that should be on everyone’s bucket list! Be sure to plan your visit soon to experience its wonders for yourself.

I love everything about travel, from seeing new places, learning about new cultures and trying new foods! I believe that travel is one of the best forms of education you can get, I have learnt so much about myself and about the world from travelling all over. Travel is something I feel so passionately about, and I love the fact that we are now lucky enough to have this opportunity to do what we love as much as we can, it’s a dream come true.

Before we started travelling, I worked in local government in administration. I had been in this job for several years and had reached a complete brick wall where I was so fed up, but didn’t know what else to do. The only thing I knew that I wanted to do was to travel, and had wanted to do that for many years.

There were hundreds and hundreds of places on my wishlist that I wanted to go to, and I knew that going on a weeks holiday maybe twice a year if we were lucky wasn’t going to cut it.

After being in lockdown due to the Covid pandemic, and working from home staring at the same 4 walls every day, 2021 seemed like the perfect time for us to take the risk to finally do what we had dreamed of for so long.

It was a hard decision to completely change our lives, but so far it has been the best decision we have ever made!
